De Broodbrouwers
Located on Dintelstraat 46 in an old building formerly used as beer depot, De Broodbrouwers serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers approximately 100 seats, a chef’s table and a sunny terrace. Served from our open kitchen we offer something for everyone and are specialized in those whom love delicious snacks alongside a glass of wine or craft beer with a strong backstory.
The social mission of De Broodbrouwers is to help more than 60 people with an occupational disability in getting a paid job; in both the bistro and the bakery. This group of people is often unable to find a job independently, let alone keep it. The organization has over 5 years of experience in successfully guiding and deploying this target group.
As a guest at De Broodbrouwers, you can enjoy delicious culinary dishes in our bistro while looking down into the bakery. Lekker Brood is baked here using traditional methods and 100% organic raw materials.

Our partners
A sustainable and social goal
Our partners play a major role in achieving the social dream and implementing our sustainable policy. By working with the right companies, we can make more impact in both areas. That is why we build as many relationships as possible with organizations with which
we can share and disseminate these objectives. We are proud of the relationships that have been built, the results to date that have been achieved and the beautiful plans that are still under development. We are very grateful to all our partners!
The history
An experience in itself
In June 2017, Ad (founder Lekker Brood) and Jasper (founder Happy Tosti) stood in front of a ruin, the former beer-cooling depot of De Drie Hoefijzers. The historical drawings showed a basement construction, which they decided to excavate together with the landlord. When this turned out to be a success, Ad and Jasper decided that there would be enough space in the depot for both a bakery and a bistro, something they had dreaming of. This characteristic complex on Dintelstraat 46 was built
just before the First World War. It was used until the late 1960s for the storage and cooling of beer imported by train, by the Dutch brewer of the same name from Breda. We would like to take you back there. With a visual timeline, we will show you what the depot and the neighborhood looked like more than 100 years ago. We will tell you about the many changes that this rare building has been through over the years and how it became a perfect match with De Broodbrouwers.
